How are you living your life right now?

Why not try surfing to escape the hustle and bustle of modern society and experience some relaxation?
Waiting for unpredictable waves can help you temporarily let go of the rush of city life.
And when the waves roll in, grab your board and head out to the sea to feel its embrace whenever you like!

Due to its exotic scenery and expansive beach, Manripo Beach, often referred to as "Manlifornia" for its resemblance to California, is a surfing paradise sought after by many surfers.
With no reefs and shallow waters, it's famous for being where even beginners can easily challenge themselves in surfing!
As the closest surfing spot to the capital region, you can leave behind the hectic daily life and visit anytime.
Enjoy surfing safely and with fun through systematic lessons at local surf shops operated by local surfers!
As you spend your day as a surfer, you'll surely fall deeply in love with the allure of surfing!
What makes this project special
Project Activities
This project offers surfing lessons in Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, followed by free surfing activities where participants can enjoy surfing to their heart's content.
There are introductory lessons available for those new to surfing, as well as advanced lessons for those looking to improve their skills.
During the lessons, boards, suits, and shower facilities are provided. After the lessons, participants can enjoy free surfing without time restrictions!

* The above activity is an example provided to aid understanding of the activity. There are four session times available for lessons: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, and participants can choose one.
Additionally, the activity times may vary depending on the participation timing and local conditions.
Additional Information
- During the off-season (excluding July to August), lesson times may vary.
- In case of weather conditions like typhoons or storm warnings, lessons may be canceled, and rescheduling or refunds are available.
- For safety reasons, surfboard rentals are not available for those who have never taken a surfing lesson before.

- Equipment such as boards and suits are provided during the project, along with shower facilities.
Not Included
- Items inside the suit include a swimsuit or spare underwear.
- Personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided)

Institution Introduction
Established in 2013, our organization is the first surfing shop on the West Sea and is located directly in front of Manripo Beach. It is operated by local surfers.
Our instructors, certified with ISA International Surfing Coach Education, provide lessons safely and systematically, teaching authentic surfing techniques.
Word from the Local Institution Representative
We are the first surfing shop in Manripo, established 9 years ago.
Originally, we came to Manripo just to ride the waves, with nothing else in mind. But as we spent more time here with friends, we wanted to create a place to relax, which led to the establishment of our shop.
Surfing is a sport without records or competitive elements. Therefore, the focus is on the act of riding the waves itself rather than winning or losing.
If you want to experience this surfing culture, come to Manripo with an open heart.
Receive lessons in this well-prepared place and enjoy surfing with us. We hope you will come to love surfing as much as we do!

Taean-gun in Chungcheongnam-do is located at the northwest tip of Chungcheongnam-do, with most of the county bordering the West Sea, while its eastern side connects with land cities like Seosan-si and Boryeong-si.
It's a place where you can enjoy festivals throughout the year. From April to May, you can enjoy the Tulip Festival, from July to August, the Lily Flower Festival, and from September to October, the Autumn Flower Festival, offering a festival of lights all year round.
Sinjuri Coastal Sand Dunes, created over centuries, are a natural landscape unique to Taean that you can't find anywhere else.

1. Kkotji Beach
Kkotji Beach boasts a picturesque landscape with its expansive white sandy beach and the harmonious presence of Halmibawi and Harabibawi Rocks. The stunning sunset that paints the sky red beyond these two rocks is considered one of the most beautiful sights symbolizing Taean. Because of this, the beach attracts visitors not only in midsummer but throughout the year. Capture the breathtaking sunset scenery beyond Halmibawi and Harabibawi Rocks as the sun sets.
2. Chollipo Arboretum
Cheollipo Arboretum is located at the tip of the Taean Peninsula on the West Sea, embracing the coastline, islands, and sea, boasting the best scenery among arboretums in Korea. Established as the first private arboretum in Korea, it was founded by Dr. Min Byeong-gal, who planted and managed a variety of plants throughout his lifetime, allowing it to develop into Korea's finest arboretum. By collecting and preserving plants from Korea and around the world, the arboretum has been transformed into a beautiful garden, dedicated to research, education, and fostering a love for nature among people, aiming to inspire creative inspiration and happiness.
3. Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune
Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune is located in the northwest part of the Taean Peninsula, with a portion of the dunes' original shape well-preserved and designated as a natural monument. These coastal sand dunes regulate sediment deposition between land and sea, protect the coastline, and serve as a buffer connecting the inland and coastal ecosystems, creating a beautiful landscape. Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune, especially, is the largest in scale in South Korea and is cherished as the most unique ecotourism destination in Taean, designated as a Slow City.
