    You'll get to explore different villages across Jeju, repairing old houses and assisting with basic construction, while learning practical woodworking skills used in real projects.

    Explore various villages in Jeju Island, directly repairing old buildings or assisting with basic construction on-site. After a 4-hour work experience each day, take time to leisurely visit Jeju's famous tourist spots and beautiful beaches to explore all that Jeju has to offer.

    This project offers participants the opportunity to repair villages and assist in basic construction alongside carpenters from Jeju Island, providing a chance to learn and gain experience in woodworking skills.

    Participants will engage in tasks such as building, installing, and reinforcing structures using various types of wood and tools. They will:

    • Learn about the characteristics and types of wood materials
    • Gain practical experience in tool usage and application
    • Review drawings, dimensions, and wood processing techniques

    1. Building Maintenance: Demolition of existing structures, installation of frameworks, and reinforcement with new materials
    2. Basic Frame Construction: Reviewing drawings, laying foundations, assembling, and fixing structural components
    3. On-site Safety Management: Installing safety facilities, removing unsafe structures
    4. Site Cleanup and Restoration: Cleaning up residual materials, cleaning, and restoring

    1. Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff

    Jusangjeolli Cliff refers to columnar joints formed when lava erupts onto the ground and cools, causing contraction and creating vertical pillars. Jeju Island, shaped by volcanic activity, offers various traces of its volcanic origins. Located along the Jungmun coast, Jusangjeolli Cliff is one of these features. Designated as a natural monument, it allows visitors to freely admire the beauty of nature.

     

    2. Saryeoni Forest Trail

    Saryeoni Forest Trail offers a serene path where you can fully enjoy the scent of pine trees. It forms a long section totaling 15km, part of the 6th course of the Hallasan Circuit Trail. The trail is adorned with pine and cedar trees, making it a perfect spot for forest trekking. Experience the ambiance of Saryeoni Forest and feel the phytoncides emitted by the trees. Known as a popular spot for honeymoon wedding photoshoots, capture beautiful moments here.
