A Valuable Volunteer Activity Connecting the Rapidly Changing World with Seniors!
As technology advances and many aspects of our lives become mechanized and digitalized, we have access to more information quickly than ever before. However, the elderly often miss out on these benefits due to a lack of knowledge or familiarity, leaving them isolated.
In this reality, there is a special opportunity to become a bridge connecting seniors with the modern world!
Provide education to seniors who want to learn at your school and create rewarding memories.
As you conduct classes and share conversations, you'll find that the joyful expressions of the students will bring a smile to your face too!

A Small Teaching, A Great Hope for Someone!
"It's so much fun to read and write everything now. I want to keep studying as long as I'm alive."
"I get up early in the morning, wash my face, and put on makeup, excited about going to school. At this age, that's such a joy in itself."
Elderly students feel immense happiness in learning new things at school.
Why not consider volunteering for literacy education to help these students live each day with joy through small learnings?
The seniors who come to this school are eager to learn because they don't have the opportunity for formal education.
You can teach them not only Korean and English but also basic knowledge about our society, helping them lead more enjoyable and healthier lives.
Your small teachings can bring great hope to someone.
Join us in these rewarding moments!

Benefits of Volunteering for Literacy Education
First, you can heal and smile together while seeing the happy expressions of the elderly.
Second, you can create unforgettable memories by sharing many stories while teaching.
Third, you can feel unique fulfillment as you watch the students transform through your teaching.
Regardless of age, I believe that passion keeps us young at heart.
Shall we head to Daejeon to support the youthful spirit of the elderly?

Organization Introduction

Our institution is a lifelong learning center that offers free educational opportunities to seniors, helping them navigate daily life more comfortably through various educational programs.
Celebrating its 9th anniversary this year, this place provides new beginnings for elderly students.
Most of the teachers at our school are retired educators, but we also have a diverse group of volunteers, including musicians, actors, painters, homemakers, and more.
This is a special place that creates unforgettable memories for both the students receiving education and the teachers providing it.
Literacy education is not just about the ability to read and write. It is the foundation of all education and a right that everyone should have. That’s why we feel the greatest sense of fulfillment when we see the students we have taught gain confidence and lead new lives.
Our dream is to continue providing more learning opportunities in the future. We believe that if you share your knowledge, we can create joyful memories together!
*In addition to literacy education and high school General Equivalency Diploma(GED) preparation courses, our institution offers cultural and artistic experiential learning supported by individuals or local governments. These include art, film, theater, exhibitions, and concerts, through which students can gain general knowledge. We hope that our senior students can continue to experience and learn not only basic education but also in the fields of culture and arts. If you would like to share your insights on culture and the arts with our students, please contact us directly!
